With the hip-hop culture changing the world and how it operates on a daily basis, it was only a matter of time before hip-hop would begin to control Wall Street also. In a era where artist and consumers often forget the importance of the Disc Jockey and what that title means to music, the Wall Street Journal recently took a moment to feature the Coalition Djs movement and all it entails.
The Wall Street Journal acknowledged the Coalition DJs significant role in breaking some of music’s hottest acts including Ca$h Out, B.O.B, Future, August Alsina and Jeezy. It also goes into detail about their presense in the strips clubs and nightclubs and why the industry needs them.Thats a major feat for urban music being featured in the WJS.
