Tonight, week 10 of the 2014 NFL season kicks off as the Cleveland Browns (5-3) head across the state to face the Cincinnati Bengals (5-2-1). Folks in Ohio are calling tonight’s matchup the biggest game in Ohio in over 30 years. This will be a true battle for the top spot in the AFC North.
The Browns came into the year on a strong note and may Browns fans were awaiting the era of Johnny Manziel. Although Manziel has yet to leave the bench, Browns starting quarterback Brian Hoyer has looked good at times this season and is leading a limited offense to victories. Without tight end Jordan Cameron and pro bowl wide receiver Josh Gordon in the line up tonight, Cleveland may have a hard time scoring points.
The Bengals entered the 2014 season as possible Super Bowl contenders and so far this season they haven’t looked like possible AFC champs. Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton has always been the question mark with this team. When he plays well they win but it’s not often that he has had great game. The Bengals running game has improved this year and tonight I expect the Bengals to rush the ball against the Browns defense.
Look for the Bengals to come out strong with a heavy dose of their rushing attack. A.J. Green is back in the Bengals line up but with Joe Haden covering him tonight, Dalton may think twice before tossed the deep pass. The Bengals will collect a total of 120 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground.
The Browns will produce points tonight and with tonight being a primetime game I won’t be surprised to see Johnny Football taking a few snaps. The Browns will put up a fight and I could see them winning this matchup.
