And he was THAT close.. but not close enough..

It’s no secret that Drizzy topped The Rolling Stones for having the most hits on Billboard, but it’s also no secret that OVO’s own has not had a No. 1 spot on the Hot 100 in the entire span of his career either. He ALMOST triumphed over The Weeknd’s latest hit, The Hills with his new ‘Cha Cha‘ rendition, ‘Hotline Bling’ when he dropped the visual,  but because he did so through Apple, it aint happening. He’s still at No. 2.

Here’s why this is the case: Drake released the official visual to Hotline Bling via Apple Music rather than Youtube, like artists normally do. Apple Music does not report their streaming numbers to Neilsen Soundscan, which omits any number of views that may have been helpful towards that No. 1 spot on Billboard.

Hotline Bling wasn’t the record to change the stats for Aubrey in this manner, however, Views From The 6 is still on the way. This LP is sure to switch up the pace..
