On Wednesday night Ariana Grande took the stage at Los Angeles’ Forum. Besides making some unwanted headlines because Justin Bieber may have crossed the line by grabbing Big Sean’s girl the way he did, the singer paid tribute to Whitney Houston. Grande welcome David Foster, who wrote and produced the late singer’s 1992 “I Have Nothing,” to join her in covering the song.
She explained, “We’re gonna do one of my favorite songs of all time that I actually grew up singing. It was my go-to song to sing at the gay bar, karaoke bar, anywhere. This is such a surreal experience. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage the incredible David Foster,” before giving her rendition of the track featured on the soundtrack of The Bodyguard.
