HHS1987 catches up with a new Philadelphia based rapper by the name of Velocity. Velocity explains his music, his label, his most recent moves as well his upcoming plans. He talks about being an amateur boxer growing up where he received the name Velocity. He breaks down growing up in Olney/ Feltonville part of the city. He explains his I Run Philly Record label that started out as a dream of his to bring a record label to the city. So right now he in the grind stage of the label, putting in all the work in so it can be bigger and better for the future. He talks about grabbing a diamond chain from Shyne Jewelers.
Velocity explains his most recent moves that landed him on WorldStarHipHop, BallerAlert, HHS1987 and more. He said he did a 5 city tour in the Atlanta, Ga area recently. He rubbed shoulders and networked with Brick Squad’s Frenchie, and the rest was history. He was just in Quad studios with a ton of established artists. Frenchie is his big bro who is putting him on to a ton of inside connects.
He hints at his new mixtape titled ‘Persistence’ that will be dropping soon. He said the project will featured Cheddar Da Connect (the guy behind the hit single “Flick of Da Wrist”), Fetty Wap, Migos, and many others. Right now the project is complete, we are just waiting on the graphics. He explains he has over five mixtapes completed that is just waiting to drop.
