A couple days ago, the city that never sleeps came to a halt as radio programming on Hot 97, WLIB and WBLS, joined forces for #OneVoice. Moderated by Ebro Darden and Lisa Evers, #OneVoice hosted a panel consisting of Peter Rosenberg, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, Radio News Director Bob Slade, Clinical Social Worker/Therapist Dr. Elisa English, and retired NYPD Lieutenant Dr. Darrin Porcher.
The conversation focused in on race relations, the relationship and environment between law enforcement and citizens of color, as well as other relative issues. Together, important topics such as police quotas, racial profiling, psychological issues and more were tackled.
