What better way to celebrate two Grammy nods than by free styling about it on Hip Hop’s biggest radio station, Hot 97? Remy Ma took to the airwaves, with Funkmaster Flex, to drop some boastful bars over Nas’ “NY State of Mind.” She put emphasis on how her presence in the Rap game has made an impact since her return from prison.
“In two years, no album, no solo single, no tour. Three million followers and got two BET Awards. Dropped the album of the Summer, independent, and the sh*t popped. Legitimized the entire franchise of Love & Hip Hop. Two Soul Train Awards, yeah, female Rap changing, And yesterday, I woke up to two Grammy nominations.”
Remy Ma, along with Fat Joe and French Montana, are in the running for “Best Rap Performance” and “Best Rap Song” for their collaborative single, “All The Way Up.” And what would “Black Love” be without her significant other by her side? Papoose was also at the station and got on the mic as well. Watch below.
