With the presidential election heating up just weeks before we hit the polls, Wyclef Jean revives his classic, “If I Was President” single and delivers “If I Was President 2016.” The original single was released in 2008 and ‘Clef brings it back to discuss the current political climate in the US. “A man said he’s gonna build a wall and have Mexico pay for it all. And there’s a riot every week,” he sings. We all know who he’s talking about, unfortunately. The single is said to appear on ‘Clef’s upcoming EP titled, “J’ouvert,” due out on the 18th of November. The EP is apparently a precursor to ‘Clef’s “Carnival III: Road to Clefication” album which will feature Young Thug.
