Kanye West stopped in the middle of the show – without hesitation – at The Meadows Music & Arts Festival in New York City last night. And the reason why? His wife, Kim Kardashian, was being held at gunpoint in Paris! While he was performing his set, ‘Ye was informed of the horrifying news and he cut his performance in an instant. “I’m sorry,” he said. “Family emergency. I have to stop the show.”
A spokesperson for the Kardashians immediately issued a statement to media about the incident: “Kim Kardashian West was held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening, by two armed masked men dressed as police officers. She is badly shaken by physically unharmed.”
The Meadows festival organizers, Founders Entertainment, also issued their own statement: “Due to a family emergency, Kanye West was forced to end his performance towards the end of his set. We appreciate the great show he put on for fans to close out the inaugural Meadows Festival. Our thoughts are with West and his family.”
It is now being reported that she was robbed of $10M in jewelry. While more details are still being figured out, we do know that Kim was in Paris for Fashion Week. She travelled with her mom, Kendall and Kourtney. The incident occurred after Kim left a Givenchy fashion show.
