Bulls-recap-500x279 NBA: Atlanta Hawks vs. Chicago Bulls (4-1-17) (Recap)

On Saturday April 1st, the Atlanta Hawks fell to (39-37) after losing to the (37-39) Chicago Bulls (106-104).

The Bulls and Hawks game was close all night long, but a (15-4) run late in the fourth quarter sealed the game for the Bulls. Jimmy Butler was the leading scorer for the Bulls scoring 33 points on the night including the game winner free throw shots. Butler wasn’t the only Bulls player to have a big game. Bulls point guard Rajon Rondo scored a season-high 25 points with 11 rebounds and he kept Dennis Schorder on his heels all night long. The Bulls are looking to seal up a 2016-17 NBA playoff spot and the win on Saturday was huge to keep that dream alive.

For the Atlanta Hawks, who came into the game without Paul Millsap for a eighth straight game, Dennis Schroder was the team’s leading scorer. Dennis Schroder finished the game 29 points and 6 assist. Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 20 points but missed the game winning three pointer at the end of the game. Hawks big man Dwight Howard finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

The Bulls are currently the 7th seed in the Eastern conference and the Atlanta Hawks are currently the 6th seed. The next week of basketball will be key to both teams as they look to lock up their playoff seeding. The Hawks are back in action on Thursday night when they host the Boston Celtics.
