Atlanta’s “Black Beatles” Hit Makers are set to preform at halftime and postgame for the final Hawks home game of 2018!

Multi-platinum, award-winning hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd announced today via their social media, that they will be performing two sets, halftime and postgame, at the Atlanta Hawks’ Dec. 29 game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The group, comprised of real-life brothers Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi, has been a fixture on the music charts since they debuted with their hit “No Flex Zone” in 2014.

“We’re really excited to be performing at the Hawks game and celebrate Slim Jxmmi’s birthday all in one night! Pull up,” said Rae Sremmurd.

Rae Sremmurd, whose 2016 No. 1, mega-hit “Black Beatles” helped spawn a social media phenomenon with the “mannequin challenge”, has garnered a number of major award wins, taking home both Billboard Music Awards for Best Rap Collaboration and BET Awards for Best Group. Known for their lively stage presence, the duo also counts platinum singles “Throw Sum Mo”, “No Type”, and “This Could Be Us” among their most popular songs.

“We’ve created a great tradition by bringing some of music’s hottest acts to perform at our games, “said Steve Koonin, CEO of the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena. “It’s been an incredible year at State Farm Arena and it’s only fitting to close 2018 with a great Rae Sremmurd show.”

Artists who have previously performed at the Hawk in-game concert series include Future, Gucci Mane, Migos and 2Chainz.
