The Roots and Live Nation Urban have teamed up, once again, to present this year’s Roots Picnic in Philadelphia! The 11th annual festival will take place at Festival Pier in Philly on June 2nd and will be another celebration of music, art, fashion, comedy, wellness, and consciousness. The Roots continue to raise the bar for their annual festival! This year, the GRAMMY Award winning multiplatinum Hip Hop collective will headline a special “Jam Session” hosted by Dave Chapelle!
Surprise guests are set to appear as well! Other names in music that will make appearances include Lil Uzi Vert, 6lack, The Diplomats, 2 Chainz, Brandy, Fabulous, Jadakiss and more. Complimenting the music stages will also be a podcast stage w/ Drink Champs, Angela Yee, Questlove Supreme and more. A Lifestyle Stage that will host a Madden & NBA2K tournament, as well as a Fashion, Art, and Hustle panel.
The festival is produced by The Roots founding members, Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, and Tarik “Black Thought” Trotter, along with Shawn Gee (Roots manager & President of Live Nation urban.
