The bad boy of R&B, Lyfe Jennings, is back with a much needed follow-up to his single, “Accusing Me” with the release of his highly anticipated album, “777.” Sixteen records deep, “777” is described as a “barbershop for men and a letter of adoration & support for women.” And apparently, choosing these sixteen final cuts was no easy task. From a pool of about 100 songs, all recorded form his home studio, Lyfe chose the final 16 he felt were the best representations of the dialogue his fans would expect form him.
“777” marks Lyfe’s 7th studio album – affirming that yes, 7 is a lucky number.
A quick look at the tracklist, and we see that Lyfe had enlisted a few of his fellow artists for guest features. “New Chick” boasts a double feature from Bobby V and Boosie Badazz while Tank chimes on “Like This.” Algebra Blessett makes a couple appearances as well.
Overall, Lyfe Jennings stays true to the sound that solidified his career early on.
