This past Friday, July 19th, New York City was “elle-vated.”
Celebrating the release of her new album, “Ellevation,” singer, Elle Varner, serenaded a sold out crowd at Sony Hall. Backed by an amazing live band, Elle took us on a soulful musical journey of her past and current hits before introducing records off the new album. The grown and sexy audience sang along to hit records such as “Refill,” as we all attempted to hit that high note in the chorus.
Overall, Elle’s performance was dynamic as she showcased her versatility – giving us soulful ballads like “Loving U Blind” while delivering high energy records such as “Only Wanna Give It To You.” For the latter, Elle even rapped J. Cole’s guest verse – which had everybody amped and cheering her on.
