Truth – Mic Like Boom (Video/Album Stream)

April 1, 2019 0

In his new music video, acclaimed Queens spitter Truth hits the “Mic Like Boom” and flexes on the competition with hard-hitting vocals and braggadocious rhymes.

The track stems from the emcee’s recently released LP, The Fight For Survival, which boasts guest appearances from Ill Bill, Tragedy Khadafi, and Royal Flush. But it’s a solo affair on “Mic Like Boom,” which proves to be an opportunity for Truth to put his most battle-ready rhymes on display. The lyrically-charged banger features Boom bap production from JK1 The Supernova with precise cuts supplied by PF Cuttin (of Blahzay Blahzay fame), whose use of a famous Wu-Tang sample on the hook is perfectly fitting.

The video, which was directed by Tha Embassy Elite x OnTime Films, centers on the tenacity and realness permeating through Truth’s bars. And much like his rhymes, the visuals feature both raw and stylish qualities. For every scene where Truth gets to showcase his rhymes with minimal frills, there are stylized elements that bring a cinematic and engaging flair to the presentation.
