Following his most recent releases “Satisfy” and “Rather Be Myself,” Russ released SHAKE THE SNOW GLOBE back in 2020, which was his last LP under Columbia Records. A total of 21 tracks were featured on SHAKE THE SNOW GLOBE, including Devin The Dude, Bugus, WESTSIDE BOOGIE, Kiana Ledé, Rick Ross, Ty Dolla $ign, Benny The Butcher, and Bia.
Sixty-three thousand album equivalent units were sold during the first week, making it a top five success. Russ released the five-track EP CHOMP later that year, his first official release since his return to independence. Among the guest verses on that project were verses by DJ Premier, Ab-Soul, Busta Rhymes, Black Thought, and others.
