On March 1, rising star Kali released her Toxic Chocolate mixtape, which contained seven tracks and featured ATL Jacob, BIA, Moneybagg Yo, Yung Bleu, and Latto. In the meantime, she has released videos for “New Day,” “UonU,” and “Standards” in addition to “FNF” and “Waddup.”
Yesterday (August 18), Kali released her first single of the year, titled “Wet.” A video accompanying the single shows her reclaiming a pool party turned wrong. “Wet” features some production from Mack and Preme, with Kali rapping about exactly what makes her tick:
Kali released This Why They Mad Now project at the beginning of 2021, featuring the viral track “Do A B**ch” and tracks such as “Big Body” and “Bad Bad Bad.” The project featured seven tracks in total and a featured appearance by Ken The Man. A few months later, following the well-received success of the “Do A B**ch” track, she opted to reimagine the smash and worked with Rico Nasty for the song’s official remix.
