With multiple Billboard # 1’s under his belt, multi-platinum/Diamond Certified singer-songwriter-producer Calixte was ready to share with fans his truthful, authentic new music about what it means to be Relentless At Winning. In his latest EP release R.A.W., Calixte shows up unfiltered and unapologetic as he recounts the highs and lows of his journey both personally and professionally. It’s a journey that led him to prove everyone wrong, work harder, and push his pen game as he wrote his latest release.
“R.A.W. (Relentless At Winning) was inspired by being pushed by people so much that you either crack or fight back. This is my F— You to the ones I looked out for but when I needed help in my lowest time, they didn’t show up. I would say that if it wasn’t for the music they would have driven me crazy,” Calixte tells Hip Hop Since 1987.
For his latest EP release, Calixte went back to his childhood. It’s the sound of Jersey Club music, Baltimore Club Music, House music, Rock, Haitian Music, and world vibes all day. “I wanted it to sound like chaos and how that could be turned into sounds through the loudest instruments together and I picked clashing magnetic melodies,” he explains.
Hit after hit, Calixte has worked with and written for Rihanna, Nct 127, Chris Brown, ROC Nation, Sony Records, Sia and many more. It’s something that he has worked hard and trained for since the age of 7 – performing and auditioning for anything he could. His resilience proved to be a force to be reckoned with as he burned the midnight oil creating and making music that would eventually top Billboard charts and make him a multi-platinum, diamond certified artist.
With thousands of YouTube subscribers and social media impressions around the globe, Calixte continues to make his presence and impact in the music industry known and heard. The star took to his IG page to announce his latest hit and wrote “I’ll beat it up, with all due respect. R.A.W. out now on all streaming platforms !!!!!.”
Fans took to social media to comment, like and show their love and support. “I’m cracking up from fun times,” wrote 5X Grammy Award Winning Recording artist SupaStarC. To express their fondness of the new track, emoji’s of fire, goats, laughter, and claps lit up the comments section.
For his latest EP release R.A.W., Calixte has a personal message to his fans. “What I want my fans to take away from the song is to stand firm to who you are and don’t let anyone tell you what you can or can’t do – it’s okay to let people know who you are and stand on that no matter what. Be your own hero, don’t take no nonsense and lets RAGE,” he exclaims!
