Revolt Live’s DJ Damage & former Revolt Live co-host, Sib Vicious, will take their talents to radio broadcasting! DJ Damage made the announcement that he would be the new radio host of Los Angeles’ Real 92.3 Monday-Friday 10pm-midnight PST.
The Philly native gave HipHopDX an exclusive about his encounter with iHeartMedia’s Senior VP of Urban Programming, Doc Wynters, who contacted him last month about the available position:
It happened actually super quickly. When the station launched, about a week after the launch, I was talking to a few mentors that I have in the game. They were like, ‘You know, someone might be reaching out to you about this new station. Are you interested?’ I was like, ‘Absolutely. Of course.’ They were like, ‘We don’t know to what degree or whatever Doc wants you involved, but he’s gonna reach out to you. So make sure you keep that phone open.’
While the show is still untitled, Damage informed HipHopDX that today (March 9th) would be the first airing date & the show would primarily be music-focused. He & Sib Vicious will be hosting the show together.
The angle is at first, of course they’re kicking off their 10 joints in a row or the chance to win $10,000. They’re really pushing music right now. Of course it’s going to develop to be something really good. My co-host will actually be Sibley. You already know we’re gonna bring that vibe that we used to bring to REVOLT Live to radio—a lot of energy, a lot of fun, playful, youthfulness, charismatic. You know how we go. We turn up. It’s all in the plan, man. This is amazing.
Congratulations DJ Damage & Sib Vicious on their new endeavors!
