Alicia Keys remembers the day Prince told her, “You know I never let anybody do my songs, right? But I’ve been watching you. I’ve been seeing what you’re doing and I’d love for you to do my song.”
And that was that. “How Come You Don’t Call Me” was remade and added to Keys’ 2001 album, “Songs in A Minor.” So, in honor of Prince’s birthday today, Alicia Keys Tweeted her tribute to the music legend. The Tweet included a link to a video of her Tribeca Film Festival where she performed the single at Highline Ballroom – just one day after Prince’s passing.
Happy Birthday, Prince! The one and only. 💜💜💜 Thinking of you today… My tribute to you: https://t.co/V0uGqsjQfmhttps://t.co/0HCvqFcUU8
