It’s finally here! The start of the 2016 NFL Season is here and tonight we get a rematch of Super Bowl 50 as the Carolina Panthers face the Denver Broncos.
Tonight’s matchup will be slightly different then the two teams Super Bowl 50 matchup with a few key names including Peyton Manning and Josh Norman both gone from the rosters. Tonight although the teams are slightly different I expect the same results as the Super Bowl, a Broncos victory.
With the Denver Broncos rolling out a new starter in Trevor Siemian, I believe the Broncos will rely on their defense and running game to get them the win. Look for Broncos running back C.J. Anderson to touch the football more than 16 times rushing for over 120 yards. The Broncos will toss the football well tonight with Josh Norman not on the field in a Panthers uniform. Look for Siemian to toss two touchdown passes in his NFL debut.
Cam Newton will be Cam Newton. Look for Newton to regain his 2015 NFL MVP form passing for over 250 yards and rushing for over 65 yards. Despite a big night from Cam Newton, I don’t think the Panthers will walk away tonight with a win on the road.
