WBLS is the #1 source for R&B and the legendary radio station is back with their annual April Fools Day Comedy Show! Presented by Marquee Concerts, the comedy show will take place in the Theater at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, April 1st. The lineup of comedians will include Arnez J, Tommy Davidson, Michael Blackson, Gary Owen, and Don “D.C.” Curry. And the evening will be hosted by Sommore.
Arne J is known for his sold-out shows and appearances in All Star Comedy Jam as well as Def Comedy Jam. He’s also appeared on Comedy Central and BET. Michael Blackson is the “African King of Comedy” who starred in the movie, “Next Friday.” He’s also appeared on several comedy series such as BET’s Comic View and Diddy’s “Bad Boys of Comedy,” and more. Don “D.C.” Curry is best known for his role as Uncle Elroy Jones in the Friday film series. As for the hostess, herself, Sommore has made appearances in several comedy and TV shows including The Hughleys, Comedy Central’s “Roast of Flavor Flav,” and BET’s “Live From LA.”
The “April Fool’s Day” Comedy Show, as some of you may know, has been a staple event for Emmis New York for over 10 years. Both WBLS and Hot 97 are a part of the Emmis NY family.
