Lil Wayne is now in solitary confinement during his jail stint, reports have revealed.
According to TMZ, Weezy – who is serving a year-long sentence behind bars for gun possession – has been punished by prison officials, after it was discovered he had an MP3 charger and a pair of headphones in his cell.
Another inmate was then found to be in possession of the MP3 player itself. The Carter star will now spend up to 23 hours in the “isolation cell” at New York’s Riker’s Island jail. He’ll only be able to leave for an hour of recreational time and for visits, plus Wayne can now only have one phone call a week.
The rapper is hoping to be released on November 4 – eight months after be began his sentence in March. His good friend Drake is planning to throw him a welcome home party to celebrate his return.
