“There’s no doubt BIG3 is a premiere sponsorship destination for major global brands,” said BIG3 co-founder Ice Cube. “Going into our third season, interest in BIG3 from brands and demand from players and fans has been incredible, yet not surprising, to see.”
“Toyota’s partnership with BIG3 is a further continuation of the company’s commitment to innovation across the board as well as to fan-driven programs”, said Samantha Goot, general manager of media and engagement marketing, Toyota Motor North America. “The increasing popularity of the BIG3 allows an exciting opportunity for Toyota to create new engagement opportunities with the expanding fanbase and unique ways to further amplify the game.”
In addition to the RAV4-Point-Circle, Toyota’s sponsorship of BIG3 also includes a RAV4 giveaway at the end of the season presented by the BIG3 player who makes the most 4-point shots; branded hospitality suites, on-site activations, and ticket giveaways at all BIG3 games; brand placement throughout arena scoreboards and league materials; and more.
BIG3’s first two seasons in 2017 and 2018 thrilled fans in arenas across the country with gritty, competitive basketball featuring some of the sport’s biggest and most iconic names. Games will be played two nights per week in 18 cities over the course of the season with three games played at each venue.
During the offseason, BIG3 added new top tier players to the league including Jason Terry, Joe Johnson, Josh Smith, Kendrick Perkins, Shannon Brown, Gilbert Arenas, Al Jefferson, Lamar Odom, Steve Blake, Mario Chalmers, Brandon Rush, Carlos Arroyo, Dusan Bulut, Shannon Brown, Perry Jones III and more.
Star players returning this year include Amar’e Stoudemire, Drew Gooden, Nate Robinson, Stephen Jackson, Carlos Boozer, Glen ‘Big Baby’ Davis, Chris ‘Birdman’ Andersen, Rashard Lewis, Metta World Peace, Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf, Corey Maggette, Cuttino Mobley, Jermaine O’Neal, Brian Scalabrine and many more.
