West Coast rapper, 40 Glocc, offers up a taste of his yet-to-be-titled, Empire distributed album, with a new single, “The Pull Up.” To whet our music appetites some more, he even drops off an animated video to accompany it. The animated visual to 40’s single, “The Pull Up”, is directed by long-time collaborator Broadway of B’Way Toons (Big Pun “How We Roll” / G-Unit “My Buddy”).
“I did (the record) “The Pull Up” to talk about the trials and tribulations I’ve personally been going through”, says the Colton, California rap artist and entrepreneur. “From jealousy to betrayal to being shot at point blank range. After a successful surgery I get the news that my friend, and frequent collaborator Prodigy of Mobb Deep, passed away on the same day I come out of a coma with the bullet still lodged in me. It’s sitting 2 centimeters from my spine.” 40 continues. “At the same time I’m fighting for my freedom in a kangaroo court.”
