According to reports, Cardi B wants her divorce from Offset to be “amicable.”
The singer recently filed paperwork to end her three-year marriage to the Migos rapper and it is now reported that she wants her legal team to change paperwork as they allegedly implied that she had a problem with Offset’s style of parenting.
Initially, Cardi’s paperwork sought legal custody and primary physical custody of her and Offset’s 2-year-old daughter Kulture, coupled with child support payments.
According to reports, the rapper was unaware that the lawyer presented her case in that manner and thus, she instructed her legal team to change her paperwork and make the process more “amicable”.
According to insiders, Cardi wants joint custody of Kulture with a positive “co-parenting situation” and doesn’t wish to seek financial support from Offset.
Offset hasn’t responded to the divorce petition yet.
This separation comes after the couple briefly split in 2018 and sparked rumors related to reconciliation the same year in December. These rumors were confirmed when they attended the 2019 Grammy Awards together.
During that point, the “I Like It” rapper accused the Migos star of being unfaithful. However, it is believed that they wanted to work things out for the sake of their daughter.
Offset engaged in several public gestures to win Cardi back, such as crashing her set at Rolling Loud festival in LA with a huge “Take Me Back Cardi” sign made out of white and red roses.]
Though she denied his apology, he believed that it was the right thing to do.
He tweeted at the time: “All of my wrongs have been made public, i figure it’s only right that my apologies are made public too. A * was just trying …..thank god I ain’t got no balloons sheeesh “
