Atlanta rapper, artist, and creative Kenny Mason has returned with a new track, “Partments.” Known for juxtaposing elements of hip-hop and alternative rock, Kenny Mason’s new track is his first offering of the year. His unique and captivating new song signals the continuation of where Kenny left off after his breakout year in 2020 which saw the release of his critically acclaimed debut album, Angelic Hoodrat – led by singles “Hit” and the albums title-track, “Angelic Hoodrat.”
Kenny Mason’s debut album positioned him as a prominent voice in the ever-changing Atlanta music scene. The result was a strong, cohesive debut on Angelic Hoodrat which also saw cinematic, story driven visuals directed by Nasser Boulaich for “Angels Calling,”“Firestarter,”“Hit,”“Angelic Hoodrat,” and a joint video for “Chevron/PTSD.” For the release he received critical praise from outlets including NPR, COMPLEX, FADER, Hypebeast, DJ Booth and many more.
Within a short amount of time, Kenny Mason has climbed up a promising ladder of success: performing at Rolling Loud Miami 2019, being named one of August’s Best New Artists by Pigeons & Planes, and having his song “G.O.A.T.” featured on HBO’s hit show, Euphoria. Last Year, Kenny Mason was selected by COMPLEX as one of their 25 Rappers to Watch in 2020.
