Like wood to a fire, Shawty Lo responded back to the statements T.I. made about him on MTV through an interview with TheMostAccess.com.
About the origins of the beef, said Shawty Lo, “What started it, he sent a shot at me on one of his songs [‘King’] and I sent a shot back on ‘Dunn Dunn.’ I guess unfortunately he wanted to say my name a couple weeks ago, and that’s what started it. I tried to tell the truth. I came back, and see that this shit is all over the internet.”
When asked if it was a publicity stunt, Shawty Lo was adamant stating, “If I was trying to get publicity I would have put T.I.’s name on my album. My album’s been out since February 26th. I ain’t ever said T.I.’s name till he said my name two or three weeks ago on radio. So it ain’t no publicity stunt, it started from him.”
Changing the subject to focus more on him, Shawty Lo explained his future projects. “I’m trying to do a little bit of acting and I got a book coming out. The book is like my life story, like my DVD. It’s called Shawty Lo: The Real Bankhead Story.”
