Waka Flocka Flame’s booking agents are being sued yet again.
Alabama promotions company G.D.B. Promotions has filed suit against Waka Flocka’s booking agent Johnnie Cabbell, manager/mom Debra Antney, and their respective companies Hitt Afta Hitt and So Icey Ent. for over $1 million for failing to deliver Waka Flocka after they spent over $20,000 dollars to book him for a 21 & under show in June of 2009.
After pulling multiple bait-and-switch routines, doubling Flocka’s fee and even threatening to cancel the show, the shenanigans allegedly continued during the week of the performance when Flocka’s road manager requested another $1,000, and changed the show date to November 28.
Despite intending to perform at the long-awaited teen concert, which was to take place in Birmingham, Flocka ultimately failed to arrive before the venue shut its doors, and G.D.B. opted to sue for restitution. The promotions company seeks over $60,000 for the deposits paid to Cabbell and co. and various show costs, and over $1,000,000 in punitive damages. Cabbell and Antney were previously sued for accepting deposits for booking Gucci Mane concerts while he was incarcerated, or otherwise unable to perform.
