wild 2012 NFL Wild Card (Sunday) Predictions

It’s the most wonderful time of the year next to Christmas,  NFL Wild card weekend.

Today will the NFL feature two wild card games. At 1:00pm EST the Indianapolis Colts face the Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore. The Colts and rookie quarterback Andrew Luck are one of the hottest teams in the NFL heading into the playoffs. Once the Colts and future hall of famer Peyton Manning parted ways not many the Colts as being in a rebuilding stage. Now they are fighting for a ticket to the Super Bowl.

The Ravens looked great early in the season but injuries have certainly hurt this team in numerous ways. The Ravens captain/ heart and soul Ray Lewis was out for the last few week with what appeared to be a career ending injury but he will play tonight after mentioning he will retire after this season.

The 4:30 game will feature Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks who will march into our nation’s captial to face RGIII and the Washington Redskins. Both NFC teams today will feature rookie quarterbacks who have already proved that belong in the league and look to have to very bright futures. Despite the hype surrounding RGIII and the Redskins running game, I believe the Seahawks defense will be to much for RGIII entering his first postseason game. This is also Seattle QB Russell Wilson’s first postseason game but I like his pocket awareness and his running mate Marshon Lynch.

I like the Colts and Seahawks in today’s games. I’m 0-2 so far with my postseason predictions so I those two teams to get the job done today. Look for Luck to pass for over 300 yards and for Russell Wilson to account for over 400 yards total offense.

Colts 24  vs. Ravens 20

Seahawks 31 vs. Redskins 13
