FOX’s “Empire” series just keeps reaching new heights! Today is the season finale & upon airing the final episode, we’ve gotten news that the soundtrack has reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200’s chart.

The 18-track compilation project reached 130,00 units in first week sales, making Empire the first television series to top the Billboard charts since “Glee” released their soundtrack in 2010.

Outside of the original cast of the show, special guest appearances were made by artists such as Mary J. Blige, Estelle, Jennifer Hudson, & we’ll see Snoop Dogg appear in tonight’s season finale. All those who contributed music to the show will appear on the soundtrack as well.
