According to the exclusive picked up by TheJasmineBrand.com, Lil Wayne is pulling the plug on his $51 Million Dollar lawsuit against Birdman & Cash  Money Records for the hold on releasing Tha Carter V, contract breaching, & not properly being paid. The lawsuit was filed back in January just after Wayne took to Twitter expressing his distaste towards the label he’s signed to, Cash Money Records. He also took to court to ensure that he would be the owner of all copyrights concerning Nicki Minaj, Drake, & all of the artists in which he signed to Young Money.

After all the time & effort put towards the case, Wayne wants out. Sources close to him claimed that he was willing to drop the entire case if he was paid the original $8 Million Dollar advance that is owed to him for his advance on Tha Carter V as well as the $2 Million Dollars which was supposed to be paid upon its completion. $56 Million went down to $10 Million.. Wayne ain’t greedy.

As of yesterday April 6th, the case has been thrown out “without prejudice,” meaning at any given time, Wayne can reopen the case. That probably won’t be the case as it seems as though they have come to a middle ground.

I suppose all’s well that ends well? See the court documents here.

UPDATE:

Karen Civil has put an end to the rumors circulating, making it known that Lil Wayne has NOT dropped the lawsuit, but rather moved it to his hometown of New Orleans. The case is still ongoing!
