16yo melodic prodigy Suigeneris wasn’t even born when I was bumping TLC’s “No Scrubs,” in 1999, but he and Yung Pinch flipped the iconic track for a 2020 anti-thot anthem that bangs just as hard as the original. “Scrubs” sees Suie and Pinch weary about ladies in their life that might only be interested in them now that they’re poppin,’ with Suie warning, “Don’t hit my line because I’m up now / Cash weighing on me when I touch down.” “Scrubs” is the latest from Suie’s Rap vs. RnB double EP Demons N Angels, due this Friday on EMPIRE.
