Tonight, Kanye West is scheduled to accept his Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2015 MTV VMAs. In light of this achievement, MTV shared a previously unreleased clip of Kanye’s interview from 2005. In the clip he discusses writing “Gold Digger,” how Jay Z felt about his collaboration with Nas on “We Major,” and more. Check out the clip below.
“When you hear the horns on We Major, and you hear the chorus come in, and you hear Nas in original form, that can sometimes warm somebody’s heart – even Jay. Good music can break through anything.”
