Tonight at 7:30pm EST, the (24-18) Atlanta Hawks are back at home in Philips Arena kicking off a three game home stand to host 2017 NBA All-Star game starter Jimmy Butler and the (21-22) Chicago Bulls.
The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Chicago Bulls (115-107) earlier in the season on November 9th and they are hoping to do the same tonight. The Hawks are currently the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference but they are coming off of a (118-95) lost to the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night. The Hawks were out rebounded by nearly double (60-32) vs. the Pistons so I’m sure Coach Bud will preach rebounding tonight against the Bulls. Hawks big man Mike Muscala will be OUT for tonight’s game.
The Chicago Bulls are currently the eight seed in the Eastern Conference and they are looking to reach a .500 record with a win in Atlanta tonight. Chicago Bulls big man Taj Gibson has been nursing an injury but he is expected to play tonight. The Bulls have lost four of their last six games and the big three of Dwyane Wade, Jimmy Butler and Rajon Rondo hasn’t worked so far this season. The Bulls don’t shoot well from the behind the three point line and their offense is currently ranked 19th in the NBA. Chicago Bulls all-star Jimmy Butler scored 39 points during the Bulls matchup vs. the Hawks in November.
The Chicago Bulls vs. Atlanta Hawks matchup tips off at 7:40pm tonight. Stay tuned to HHS1987 for more NBA news. Follow @eldorado2452 on Twitter and Instagram for all your Atlanta Hawks, NBA and sports news.
