Recently Complex caught up with the ultimate New York Knicks fan and director Spike Lee to talk Kobe Bryant and Lebron James.

Via Complex:

Think about the number of ridiculous NBA games Spike Lee has been witness to, both from his courtside seats at Madison Square Garden and on the floor at various arenas around the league. Now can you picture him being silent for any of them? From jawing at Reggie Miller to MJ’s double nickel to having Kobe Bryant joneing on him after dropping 61 on the Knicks, Lee’s been in the mix for back-and-forths with players that most diehard fans can only dream about. So we asked the director himself what he’s saying to LeBron (who once dropped 52 at the Garden) when King James goes at his Knicks. (Answer: Pretty much the same thing he used to tell Jordan.)
Lee’s seen all manner of GOAT careers arc to their finish and as director of Kobe Doin’ Work he had special insight into the preparation that went into Peak Kobe. Now that Mamba’s back after two major injuries and ranked 40th on ESPN’s NBA player rankings, Lee also offered his take on aging athletes and why he’ll never count 24 out.
