As we eagerly await Chance The Rappers ‘Magnificent Coloring World Tour’ to kick off, some news regarding his Chicago stop has finally emerged – and it’s far from your average tour date. While there was some initial confusion when a Chicago date was left off the original tour announcement, we now know it was because there were some much bigger plans in the works. Chance will treat his hometown to a full fledged mini music festival, taking place at the White Sox’s Cellular Field on September 24th. The official announcement was made this morning by Chance via Instagram and Twitter.

The event will be called “Magnificent Coloring Day”, and should be a magnificent day indeed. The lineup is stacked with recent Chance collaborators Skrillex, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, and Young Thug – as well as Tyler the Creator, Lil Uzi Vert, John Legend, and Alicia Keys. Other special guests are yet to be announced.
The ‘Magnificent Coloring World Tour’ is in support of Chance’s Coloring Book project, which released on May 13 as an Apple Music exclusive after much fan anticipation. His first solo project since 2013’s Acid Rap made historic waves after becoming the first stream-only album to chart on the Billboard 200. The Grammy’s even changed their eligibility rules to including free and streaming-only releases as a result of a fan petition that was co-signed and inspired by Chance.

The North American leg of the Magnificent Coloring World Tour kicks off on September 15th in San Diego and will make 19 stops through October 21 before heading overseas to Europe and Australia.
