With just a few games left in the 2016-17 NBA regular season, the NBA playoff race is tightening up and teams are looking to secure their final positions.

The Atlanta Hawks come into the game with a record of (39-26) and the Chicago Bulls come into the game with a record of (36-39). Both teams are still fighting for playoff seeding and today’s game will be key. The Hawks are coming off of a win Wednesday night against the Sixers. The Hawks have been battling injuries for the past month but on Wednesday night, Hawks guard Kent Bazemore returned to action. Bazemore finished the game with 19 points. Paul Millsap will miss tonight’s action as he continues to recover from a knee injury.

The Chicago Bulls are coming off of a big win on Thursday night to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Bulls are playing for the 8th seed in the Eastern conference and are a half game behind the Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers. Bulls star Dwyane Wade is out for the remainder of the season so if the Bulls make the posteason, it will lay on the shoulders of Jimmy Butler and Rajon Rondo.
